Dosimeter DOSIMAX with Aluminum Patient - Equivalent Attenuator
Test Tool ETR 1
The DOSIMAX dosimeter is a fully automatic instrument for precise measuring of dose, dose rate and exposure time. The electronic dosimeter DOSIMAX is easily connected with a plug to the aluminum Patient - Equivalent Attenuator: an aluminum - made body phantom with an integrated detector (DEDX - detector).
The phantom which is slid into the collimator ensures that the optical density of the X - ray made with the test tool ETR 1 is in the usual diagnostic density range (between 1.3 - 1.8 o. D.). The method of integrated dose measurement - the dosimeter is a part of the test set - simplifies and increases the precision of dose measurements. The dose is accurately and clearly displayed on the digital readout.
The ETR 1 is a multi-purpose test tool. With a single exposure on X - ray film made by using this tool, you can check all of the following criteria reducing your time for QA:
- Exposure Geometry for checking
- Adjustment of image intensifier size
- Alignment of the light field edged to the X - ray field
- Alignment of the light field center with the center of the image
- Adjustment of exposures made with a spotfilm device
- Decentering of the beam path (difference: center of the image vs.the perpendicular ray)
- Alignment of the cassette with the center of the image (film)
- Magnification (scale length of the test pattern vs. the actual scale length)
- Film - Screen Contact to check the definition
- Resulution critical resolution of the image receiver unit
- Contrast recognition of low contrast
- Optical Density
Application
DOSIMAX Test Set - Benefits for the User
The modular construction of the DOSIMAX Test Set
allows complete testing of all radiographic and
fluoroscopic equipment including spotfilm cameras.
Only one additional component, the extension
STAND, is required for fluoroscopy units.
light weight ( only 10 % of an equivalent absorbing waterphantom )
easy handling quick and reproducible measuring setup definitive error recognition
